What do you do when you live in a rural location and you need to access mental health services? In this age of telehealth, autism families have the option to access psychiatry services at a distance.
Medical student Christine Sawda is experiencing the power of telehealth firsthand. Sawda moved to Charleston to attend medical school at MUSC and now she’s in her third year, doing a rotation in inpatient pediatric psychiatry.
Under the supervision of our Project Rex founder Dr. Frampton Gwynette, Sawda interviews psychiatry patients at a distance through a secure video link.
South Carolina Educational Television (SCETV) recently did a video series about telemedicine, and this video is the second of three videos featuring MUSC and Dr. Gwynette.

It’s our honor to serve you and your families at MUSC!
