MUSC’s Student Research Day is an annual showcase of research all across MUSC’s campus. This year there were 212 research abstracts submitted for the showcase. Student Research Day allows students across campus to show the research they are passionate about.
The Health Humanities Award is an award given to 2 posters that fulfill the following two criteria:
- Project aims to foster skills in critical thinking, analysis, observation, reflection, or communication among health science students through an arts/humanities educational intervention.
- Project aims to improve patient experiences and/or outcomes or to promote resiliency among health care providers through an arts/humanities intervention.
Shinjini Misra presented “The Autism News Network: Novel Intervention in Adults with Autism” which received first place for the award. Judges and attendees mentioned how important an intervention like the Autism News Network is and many were looking forward to the release of the Autism News Network Experience movie!
